# Hyveminds

> Hyveminds is an Australian research-software studio building purpose-driven
> tools for learning, work and discovery. Founded 2011, a Per Capita venture,
> based in Naarm / Melbourne. Seven products, built with universities, TAFEs
> and not-for-profits.

Hyveminds builds software the way researchers run a study: hypothesis, method,
evidence, replication. Every product ships the reasoning alongside the result —
assumptions visible, sources attributed, methods on the page. Most products are
free for schools, libraries and community organisations.

- [SimChoices](https://hyvemindsgroup.com/product/simchoices): Branching scenario
  simulations built from expert practitioners' real stories. NLP marking of free-text
  learner responses, path validators that catch dead-ends before launch, SCORM and
  LTI 1.3 hand-off into any LMS. Built with TAFE NSW, Western Sydney University and
  the Per Capita teaching team. Status: stable.

  environment where every model output ships with its assumptions, residuals and a
  citation block ready for the methods section. 42 tests and models supported.
  Status: stable.
- [Quali](https://hyvemindsgroup.com/product/quali): Qualitative coding for
  transcripts at archive scale — theme suggestions you can accept, edit or reject,
  context-aware sentiment, and codebooks that travel across projects. 14k transcripts
  coded to date, 0.83 inter-rater kappa against human coders, 31 languages.

  read-aloud, word-level highlighting that follows the voice, six narration voices,
  dyslexia-friendly type, and 2 million open titles. Built for adult literacy programs
  and primary classrooms. Free for any school, library or community organisation.

- [Huddle Goals](https://hyvemindsgroup.com/product/huddlegoals): Forty-eight
  purpose-built meeting games for Zoom and Teams — ice-breakers, retrospectives,
  decision sprints, post-mortems — each timed, scored and tied to a meeting outcome.
  Runs in 8 minutes, no install for participants. Also at https://huddlegoals.com.
  Status: stable.
- [HyveMaps](https://hyvemindsgroup.com/product/hyvemaps): Thematic mapping for
  organisations whose data is sensitive, contested or community-owned. Every layer
  carries its source, its consent terms and its uncertainty. Status: private beta,
  invite-only, with eight Aboriginal land councils and two health districts.
- [Phonos Player](https://hyvemindsgroup.com/product/phonos): A desktop player for
  people who own their music — lossless and gapless, real spectrogram, credits pulled
  from MusicBrainz and Discogs. Native macOS, Windows and Linux; FLAC, ALAC, DSD,
  Opus and MP3. Status: public beta, open waitlist.
